For roofing, solar, remodeling and HVAC companies

Your ads are finding tire kickers. Not sold jobs.

Paid media and tracking for home services companies where one job is worth thousands: campaigns that bid on the sold job your CRM records, not on every form fill and phone call an ad platform can count.

What is at stake

What is at stake

Of home services calls answered by a person were actually leads, across one call tracking vendor’s customers.

The problem

Three leaks between the ad and the signed contract.

Each one looks fine inside the ad account. That is why they survive.

  1. Leak 01

The platform optimizes for the lead, not the job.

Smart bidding sees a form submit or a phone call and counts a win. So it finds more of whatever converts cheapest: renters, homeowners outside your service area, and people collecting a third quote with no plan to sign. Cost per lead looks healthy while the close rate falls.

  2. Leak 02

Every call counts, including the ones that are not leads.

A call conversion usually means the phone rang past a set number of seconds. Spam, wrong numbers, vendors and existing customers asking about an invoice all clear that bar, and a tracking number that is not tied to the ad click cannot say which campaign produced the caller who booked.

  3. Leak 03

The job closes in a system the ads never hear from.

The estimate is run in the home, the contract is signed days or weeks later, and the sold job is recorded in your CRM or field service software. Google and Meta never learn which lead became revenue, so they cannot find more homeowners like the ones who signed.

The fix

Bid on the sold job.

One conversion, defined by you, recorded where the job is actually sold, and sent back to the ad platforms with its value. Everything else is built around it.

  1. 01

    Define the conversion that pays

A qualified appointment, a sold job or a signed contract, recorded in the CRM or field service software the office already runs, such as ServiceTitan, Jobber, Housecall Pro, GoHighLevel or HubSpot. Not a form fill. Not any call that lasts a minute.

  2. 02

Carry the click to the record

The ad click ID and campaign source are captured on every form and tracked call and written onto the lead record, so a job sold three weeks later can still be matched to the ad that started it.

  3. 03

    Feed the result back

Sold jobs and their value return to Google through offline conversion import or enhanced conversions for leads, and to Meta through the Conversions API. Bidding learns what a signed contract looks like.

  4. 04

    Run the campaigns against it

Search, Local Services Ads, Performance Max and Meta, managed against cost per sold job and revenue by campaign, in accounts the company owns.

The result

What you can see afterwards.

  • Cost per sold job, by campaign, instead of cost per lead
  • Revenue by campaign, from the jobs your CRM says were sold
  • Budget moving toward the campaigns and service areas that produce signed contracts
  • Ad platforms learning from homeowners who bought, not people who asked for a price
  • Every ad account, conversion and tracking number owned by the company

Straight answers

What we will not promise.

  • A number of jobs, a close rate or a cost per lead before the campaigns have run.
  • That Google, Meta and your CRM will report the same total. Each counts by its own rules; the sold job is the number the campaigns are judged on.
  • Better leads without the office recording outcomes. If sold jobs are not marked in the CRM, there is nothing to send back.
  • Percentage-of-spend pricing. Management is priced by scope.

Illustrative only. This applies an industry-average estimate to your spend. It is not a measurement of your account; the diagnostic is where that starts.

Questions

What contractors ask first.

  • Which trades do you work with?

Home services where one job is worth thousands: roofing, solar, remodeling, HVAC replacement, windows and doors, and pools. The mechanics are the same wherever an estimate is run and a contract is signed after an ad click. Low-ticket repair work is usually a poorer fit, because one job cannot carry the cost of the setup.

  • We already use call tracking. Is that enough?

It is a start. The questions are whether each tracked call is tied to the ad click that produced it, and whether the calls that became sold jobs are sent back to the ad platforms. Counting calls is not the same as telling Google which callers bought.

  • Our jobs take weeks to close. Does that break it?

No, but it shapes the setup. The click ID is stored on the lead record the day the lead arrives, and each platform has its own window for how late a result can be sent back. Where jobs routinely close outside that window, an earlier qualified stage, such as a completed estimate, is sent as well.

  • Does this work with Local Services Ads?

Local Services Ads are billed per lead and offer fewer bidding controls than Search, so they are judged differently: each lead is tagged by source and matched to the sold job in the CRM, so its cost per sold job sits next to Search, Performance Max and Meta.

  • What do you need from us to start?

Access to the website, the ad accounts, the tag manager, the call tracking tool and the CRM or field service software that records a sold job, plus someone in the office who owns the result.

  • How is it priced?

The diagnostic costs nothing. After it, tracking work is a fixed scope and campaign management is priced by scope, never as a percentage of ad spend.
