B2B lead generation
Meeting scheduler
A booked meeting is the strongest intent signal in the funnel and it completes inside a widget somebody else owns, on a confirmation that never changes the URL a conversion tag is waiting for.

What breaks
Demo requests and sales calls booked through a scheduling tool, embedded booking widgets, and routing tools that qualify and assign in the same step
Scheduling tools finish the booking in place. The widget swaps to a confirmation state without a page load, and where the tool runs in a frame, the page around it cannot read what happened inside. A conversion tag configured to fire on a thank-you URL therefore waits for a navigation that never comes. Two things follow. The highest-intent action on the site is unmeasured, so it can be neither optimised toward nor reported on. And because the booking still happens, the sales team sees meetings arriving from a source marketing cannot account for, which starts the same argument about attribution that these pages exist to prevent.
Why nobody catches it
The booking works. Meetings land in calendars and sales runs its week, so nothing is broken in the sense anyone would raise. The measurement gap looks like a demand problem instead: paid reports fewer conversions than sales reports meetings, and the gap gets read as sales sourcing its own pipeline. That reading is flattering to one team and unflattering to the other, which is a reliable way for a technical gap to survive several quarters of review.
The work
What the scheduler exposes, the booking event defined and firing, and a real booking traced from ad click through to the meeting record.
- 01Establish what the scheduling tool exposes to the surrounding page, and what it can be configured to send on its own, before building anything custom
- 02Define the booked meeting as its own event, separate from the form fill that preceded it
- 03Carry the campaign source through to the booking record so the meeting can be joined back to the click
- 04Book one real meeting and record which destination received what
Elsewhere in lead generation and crm
One stack usually has more than one of these.
These boundaries compound. A brand running a hosted checkout and a subscription plan has two separate reasons for its channel report to be wrong, and fixing one leaves the other in place. The audit establishes which are live on your stack before anything gets rebuilt.
Start with the smallest useful check
Send one account running demo and meeting booking and we will read its setup before anyone signs anything.
Send the domain, the customer journey, and the platforms that should receive it. The tracking audit shows what is working, what is missing or duplicated, and the exact build recommended next.
